The second method of printing

Screen Printing / Serigraphy the methods of printing what is the screen method, when it was started and what its use for screen printing: is a lifeline of the printing business because its changes the whole method of printing its also known as serigraphy

Serigraphy/ Screen printing

It is a method of print where transfer colour to a textile by using a silkscreen First design your idea onto paper and cut your design with a sharp tool it’s like a stencil After that put your design on a silkscreen.

what is silkscreen?

Silkscreen is a frame that is made up of fine silk cloth and framed by wooden or metal blocks after your design is ready simply put on onto the screen. Now take your desire cloth or textile.

Where you want to print be sure your design is tightly pasted on screen and remember don’t use glue now put the screen onto the cloth or fabric and apply textile paint or colour on it squeeze with a squeezing tool Screen Printing / Serigraphy forward and backward gently your design will be applied on your fabric.

Where it starts silkscreen Printing?

Its started in 1439 by German inventor Johannes Gutenberg. At the end of 15th century, It is famous to the 270 cities in Europe It started an event known as the printing revolution.

Its spreaded all across the world this gave people the ability to rapidly circulate information and ideas. The invention of the printing press decreases the cost of printing The printing press estimated did 20 million copies between 1455 and 1500 centuries.

The design of Gutenberg style printing presses was able to output around 240 pages per hour. The mechanics will remain same during industrial revolution They do only two modification and its change the history of printing The first one was the use of steam power instead of physical manpower. and the second modification was the use of rotating cylinders instead of a flatbed.

The work also gets easy i hope you guys get the knowledge about the Serigraphy

A modern method of printing

Hello, guys today i am going to tell you about Methods of Printing Flexography Flexography also called flexo a method of the printing process which utilizes a plastic plate. It is an advanced version of letterpress, which can be print any material like plastic films paper and cellophane it is used to print on non-porous substances used for various type of food packing material in this method, a high-speed rotary are evolved.

When it was started Method of Printing Flexography

Flexography was started in 1890 built by Bibby baron and his sons They are lived in Liverpool,England The device is known as Bibby’s folly and ink was water base which was smeared easily After that Europeans using the rubber plate and flexography method of printing oil-based ink on printing press that time new printing process was called aniline printing .

In, 1920 the most of machines were built in Germany called Gummidrucks or Rubber printing After that its used to print on food packing material in the USA.

Flexography where it uses and functions:-

Advanced method of printing also knows as lithography where a wider range of ink uses. oil-based ink is better than water based ink. It can be print on different types of material like plastic sheets foil brown paper or any packing material.

The product used to print is mostly flexible shopping bags and food packing, flexible packaging including retail and shopping bags, food and hygiene bags and sacks, milk and beverage cartons, flexible plastics, self-adhesive labels, disposable cups and containers.

In the day now it move towards the laminate it a process where two materials bond together Newspaper was also print by lithography It use fast dry ink which have the good result, faster production, which results in lower costs. printing speed is 750 meters per minute which is possible by modern machines Flexo printing is commonly used in Large scale industry where it print large roll of material.

What is advantages

Why we use this method of printing process It runs in very high-speed print speed is more than 750 sq meters per minute it can print on a variety of materials requires low cost maintenance high durability with best performance low cost on prints ideal for long term use its handle printing, laminating, varnishing in a single pass.

What it is disadvantages

The cost was so high but if you care properly it can give us million of outputs it is a complex machine a large amount of waste material produces it’s hard to repair so guys i hope my blog is informative for more click this.

This method is very good for industry work because it’s fast you give a better product to your customers Thousand of materials prints in one time You can also check my another post where.
