Spread the love

Hello reader how are you i hope you all are awsome so here in this blog i posted the Methods of printing included old to new methods like xylography serigraphy and flexography details and when its started .

Oldest Methods of printing xylography

have you ever think in old times the prinitng is on demand and

how they engrave the pictures and text

into the stones and wooden block

xylography also known as wood block printing

wooden block also generally

known as stencil and stamp

we know that the stamp and stencil are use to print

company logo and date on paper or documents signatures

everyone knows the importance of government

stamps without it no one can do important

and legal work

but when its was started it was started in 1000 of years ago

around 3000 BC egyption first

cylindrical wooden carving stone

they used it to print large clothes and make some beautiful art on it

the process of carving wood into different pattern

with a chiesal or sharp tool is called

xylography

you can print only one color from one block

if you want to print multiple

color then you use multiple block

Some other methods are

Rubbing :- Rubbing is method used by europeans.

They put it onto the top of fabric

and paper. They press the block by hammer

or hand and simply rub it to engrave

or print the image

Printing press :- A modern method of print several surfaces.

It is quick and advance method of printing in

widely range, it was started in

china and now a day its use by all of country

color block printing :-Its a method to print three color beautiful pictures

the first picture was the diamond sutra in 1314 centuary

Do you know ?

xylography is not appear as print in english until 1816

but it is oldest method linked to the oldest practices

the oldest known printed works founds in

china and japan they were made by xylography,

A method of carving wood and

dipped into the ink and applied to paper.

This method of wood-block printing

appeared in Europe in the 14th century

, and eventually inspired

Johannes Gutenberg to create individual and

reusable pieces of type out of metal.

These days,  can also describe the technique of

engraving wood for purely artistic purposes.

xylography advantages and disadvantages

English speakers picked up the word from French,

where it was formed as a combination of

xyl-, meaning “wood,” and -graphie, which denotes

writing in a specified manner.

you can use different shape of wood

block according to your design

its like a stencil you can print by different shape of wood block

The second methods of printing

Screen Printing / Serigraphy the methods of printing

what is screen method

when its was started and what its use for

screen printing : is a life line of printing business because its changes the whole method of printing

its also known as serigarphy

serigraphy/ screen printing

It is method of print where transfer colour to a textile by using silk screen

First design your idea onto a paper and cut your design by a sharp tool

its like stencil

After that put your design on a silk screen

what is silk screen ?

silk screen is a frame which is made up with fine silk cloth and framed by a wooden or metal blocks

after your design is ready simply put on to the screen .

Now take your desire cloth or textile where you want to print

be sure your design tightly pasted on screen

and remember don’t use glue

now put screen onto the cloth or fabric

and apply a textile paint or colour on it

sqeeze with a squeezing tool

Screen Printing / Serigraphy

forward and backward gently

your design will be applied on your fabric

where it is start

Its started in 1439 by German inventor johannes gutenberg.

At the end of 15th century, It is famous to the 270 cities in

Europe It started an event known as the printing revolution.

Its spreaded all across the world

this gave people the ability to rapidly circulate information and ideas.

The invention of the printing press decrease the cost of printing

The printing press estimated did 20 million copies between 1455 and 1500 century

The design of Gutenberg style printing presses were able to output

around 240 pages per hour.

The mechanics will remain same during industrial revolution

They do only two modification and its change the history of printing

The first one was the use of steam power instead of physical manpower.

and the second modification was the use of a rotating cylinders instead of a flatbed.

The modern technology of serigraphy

Screen printing can be a task and requires a bit of manual effort.

How it is possible, if you are a medium or large scale screen printer, you cannot afford

to have a manual process under your roof.

You need to automate this process.

You need a way to print thousands of screen-printed machines at a time.

so in the market variety of automatic machine are available

Day by day our technology is growing so the machines also grow huged .

The work is also get easy

i hope you guys get the knowledge about the Serigraphy

Modern method of printing

Hello guys today i am going to tell about Methods of Printing Flexography

Flexography  also called flexo a method of

printing process which utilize a plastic plate.

It is a advance version of

letterpress, which can be print

any material like plastic films paper and cellophane

it used to print on non porous substances

used for various type of food packing material

In this method a high speed rotary are evolved

When it was started Method of Printing Flexography

Flexography was started in 1890 built

by bibby baron and sons

They are lived in Liverpool,England

The device is known as bibby’s folly and ink was water base which was smeared easily

After that Europeans using the rubber plate and flexography method of printing

oil based ink on printing press that

time new printing process

was called aniline printing .

In, 1920 the most of machines

were built in Germany

called Gummidrucks or Rubber printing

After that its used to print on

food packing material in USA

Flexography where it use and function

Advance method of printing

also know as lithography

where wider range of ink uses.

oil based ink is better then the water based ink.

It can be print on different type pf material like

plastic sheets foil brown paper

or any packing material

The product used to print is mostly

Flexible shopping bags and food packing,

flexible packaging including retail

and shopping bags,

food and hygiene bags and sacks

, milk and beverage cartons,

flexible plastics, self-adhesive labels,

disposable cup and containers ,

In the day now it move towards the laminate

it a process where two material bond together

Newspaper were also print by lithography

It use fast dry ink which have the good

result, faster production,

which results in lower costs.

printing speed is 750 meter per minute

which is possible by modern machines

Flexo printing is commonly used in

Large scale industry

where it print large roll of material

What is advantages

Why we use this method of printing process

It runs in very high speed print

speed is more then 750 sq meter per minute

it can print on variety of materials

requires low cost maintenance

high durability with best perfomance

low cost on prints

ideal for long term use

its handle printing, laminating, varnishing

in single pass

What it is disadvantages

The cost were so high but if you care properly

it can give us million of outputs

It is complex machine

a large amount of waste material produce

its hard to repair

so guys i hope my blog is informative

for more click this

This method is very good for industry work because its fast

you give better product to your customers

Thousand of materials prints in one time
